To serve as the front line of communication facilitating cooperative efforts between home mentors, the school, and the RVA School Board with the intention to give a voice to families.

Open Enrollment, what to do?

The state of Wisconsin holds open enrollment every year. This year the dates are from Feb 3rd to April 30th 2020. A lot of us have questions as what to do when open enrollment comes up. Bottom line, if you are planning on staying with the RVA you do not need to do anything

For those of you who may need more information on open enrollment please contact your RVA teacher. I have included the link to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction here: https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact myself; The RVA’s PAC President, Charlone Nikolaus at 920.255.6665 or nikolaus@ruralvirtual.org. If you have or would like to contribute ideas for future Mentor Series please contact our Mentor Series Coordinator, Tracie Moldenhauer at 715.459.6827 or tracie.moldenhauer@ruralvirtual.org.

Online Clubs, Field Trip Ideas

We are always looking for fun and exciting things to present and places to bring our students. If you ever have any ideas please bring them to your teachers, or regional event coordinators attention. That being said, it may take us a while to get the event or club organized and brought to happen.

Exercise Ideas for Winter

Kids indoor play

It is important to keep active. During the winter months it is harder to find ways to be active. Here are some ideas you may not have thought of.

  1. Sock tag, (a fun way to do laundry)

  2. Roll the dice, with fun things attached to the numbers (ex. Crawl up the stairs, wash the dog, build a snowman, move the furniture… to vacuum behind of course!)

  3. Clean house together

  4. Dance party
