Middle School Teacher

As a growing school, the Rural Virtual Academy is currently seeking a middle school teacher to begin effective July 1, 2026.  Applicants are expected to have the ability to teach live instruction classes on a daily basis throughout the year, maintain a remote office with a high-speed internet connection, and occasionally travel.  Preference will be given to those candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, a Wisconsin teaching license up through grade 8, previous online teaching experience, and willing to work year-round full-time (210 days).

Special Education Teacher

As a growing school, the Rural Virtual Academy is currently seeking a special education teacher to begin next school year, effective July 1, 2026.  Applicants are expected to meet with students online to instruct and facilitate daily instruction, maintain a remote office with a high-speed internet connection, and occasionally travel.  Preference will be given to those candidates holding a Wisconsin teaching license in cross-categorical special education in a variety of grade levels.

Speech & Language Pathologist (Full-time)

The Rural Virtual Academy is currently seeking a Speech & Language Pathologist to begin employment effective July 1, 2026.  Applicants are expected to have the ability to meet with parents and students during the day and occasional evenings, meet with students online to instruct and facilitate daily instruction and therapy, be knowledgeable and fluent in virtual platforms delivering secure speech therapy and assessments to school-age children, be organized and motivated, have strong communication skills, have knowledge of special education laws and practice concerning speech and language, maintain a remote office with a high-speed internet connection, and occasionally travel.  Preference will be given to those candidates holding a master’s degree and a valid Wisconsin 1820 License in speech and language pathology and have previous virtual teletherapy experience.

Physical & Health Education Teacher

The Rural Virtual Academy is currently seeking an instructor certified to teach Physical & Health Education courses to begin next school year effective July 1, 2026.  Applicants are expected to have the ability to teach live instruction classes on a daily basis throughout the year, maintain a remote office with a high-speed internet connection, and occasionally travel.  Preference will be given to those candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, a Wisconsin teaching license for ages 10-21 in physical & health education, previous online teaching experience, and willingness to work year-round full-time (210 days).

IT Technology Support Specialist

The Rural Virtual Academy is a growing school looking to fill an IT Technology Support Specialist (Level 1) position in the Rothschild Learning Center.

  • Starting wage based on experience and qualifications.

Duties include, but are not limited to, providing basic technology troubleshooting, setting up AV, assisting in maintaining technology inventories, communicating with staff, students, and parents, and all other duties as assigned.

Applicant must be a high school graduate, be able to organize, coordinate, schedule, and perform all office functions as assigned.  Preference will be given to those holding an Associate’s Degree or higher in Information Technology (IT).
