Grab your favorite warm or iced beverage and join us for our new Mentor Series Cafe! We will be having conversations with RVA Home Mentors who want to share their experiences and lessons they've learned with you. Join us for the first one where RVA Home Mentors Zainab Khan and her mother-in-law Elizabeth will share with us.
Between Zainab and Elizabeth, they have 18 children and many years of combined homeschooling and home mentoring experience. They don’t profess to have it all together but want to show you ways they’ve learned to keep it together.
We are so excited to bring you this new venture of the Mentor Series! Below is a description of what Zainab and Elizabeth will be sharing!
Zainab: “Navigating the Homeschool Journey- How to Make the Most of it Without Burning Out”
Zainab, a mother of nine, will emphasise the following:
Ease is the name of the game.
Rely on experienced and similar-valued educators to reassure and guide you.
Choose the right curriculum for your children.
Stay consistent in the core subjects even if the daily goals are simple.
Elizabeth: “Teaching Parent, Parenting Teacher: Our Roles as Our Children Grow” Elizabeth, Zainab’s mother-in-law and a veteran homeschool mom, will emphasise the following:
Her experiences and wisdom from 20 years of homeschooling
Have confidence in yourself as a parent and teacher.
Don’t be afraid to grow.
Get as much help as you can.
