High School Art Showcase

  • Rural Virtual Academy 624 College Street, Room 104 Medford, WI, 54451 United States (map)

Calling all artists! Do you have a talent in the creative arts and wish to share it with others? The RVAHS Student Council is hosting a non-competitive Art Showcase where any High school students can showcase their amazing works of art. The event will take place on March 25th in Mr. Kopp’s zoom room as we admire the submissions as a group. During such time, the artist may choose to say a few words about their artwork. The artistic creations will be separated into the categories of photography, videography, drawing, painting, and or a short story (poetry will also be accepted). A few guidelines to follow are

  • Two submissions will be allowed (per student)

  • One submission will be allowed (per category)

  • The short story guidelines are as follows; must be no more than 5 pages, double spaced, 12 point font, easy to read (no cursive), and submitted in the form of a google document or Microsoft word document.

  • If choosing the videography category, we ask that the videos be between 2-7 minutes long.

  • All submissions are due by March 15th. Submissions must be sent to the Student Council email.

  • The theme of the event is Spring. What does Spring me to you? Perhaps a painting of tulips blooming? Or the prospects of new beginnings and starting fresh? To help inspire anyone wishing to participate, the RVAHS Student Council has created a prompts card centered around the themes of Spring that can be found below. We are all very excited to see what the talented and creative High School students of RVA can accomplish. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the RVAHS Student council @ Student Council.
