MBTP Kindergarten

Journey through literature selections. Follow characters who pick blueberries, catch fireflies, and go on leaf hunts. Enjoy hands-on art activities, engaging dramatizations, and fun musical experiences.

Along the way, learn letters and sounds, vocabulary, and sight words, and practice handwriting. Each unit contains integrated math activities to reinforce basic math skills in counting, adding and subtracting, comparing, and sorting. The literature selections inspire engaging science and social studies activities, including making maps, modeling landforms, researching animals, and conducting fun science experiments.

Each unit includes the following elements:

MBTP 1st Grade

Explore patterns in nature. Engage in informative and interesting literature. Learn about matter and chemical and physical changes. This curriculum constitutes one year of academic instruction in science, social studies, language arts, and math.

In the Moving Beyond the Page Age Kindergarten curriculum, students will explore all subject areas and will be given ample opportunity to practice letter recognition — along with reading and writing according to their ability.

MBTP 2nd Grade

Get your hands dirty investigating solids and liquids. Create your own animal and describe how its design aids in its survival. Develop an appreciation for cultures by reading "Cinderella" stories from around the world. Explore constellations and the phases of the moon. The 1st Grade curriculum constitutes one year of academic instruction in science, social studies, language arts, and math.
