The Show Must Go On

Two weeks ago, Andrew Lloyd Webber announced that he would be joining the ranks of streaming opportunities during the pandemic by airing one of his beloved musicals every Friday on his new YouTube channel, The Shows Must Go On.

This week, The Shows Must Go On will be airing a fan-favorite, the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic, The Phantom of the Opera. This 2011 production, recorded for the 25th anniversary of Phantom’s original 1986 opening on Broadway, was performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and stars Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine. The musical, set in the Paris Opera House, tells the story of the Phantom’s obsession with his beautiful protégée, Christine. The production will air this Friday, April 17 at 1:00 PM and will be available for 48 hours.
