Whitnall Park for picnic lunch and playing: 12 pm-1 pm
At Wehr Nature Center, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and discover the wonders of the Wisconsin wilderness. Nestled within Whitnall Park, Wehr Nature Center boasts a diverse range of habitats, including woodlands, wetlands, and prairies, offering a rich tapestry of flora and fauna to explore.
During our time at Wehr, we'll embark on a scenic hike (on your own or in groups!) along the center's well-maintained trails, taking in the sights and sounds of the natural world around us. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just starting out, there's something for everyone to enjoy at Wehr Nature Center.
Accessibility is important to us, and we're pleased to inform you that Wehr Nature Center is wheelchair and stroller accessible, ensuring that everyone can join in the fun.
After our hike, we'll make our way to nearby Whitnall Park for a leisurely picnic lunch by the playground. It'll be the perfect opportunity to unwind, enjoy some delicious food, and perhaps even make some new friends.
