Houdini History Museum Event

  • History Museum at the Castle 330 East College Avenue Appleton, WI, 54911 United States (map)

Experience the magic of AKA Houdini!

Come learn more about the MAGIC of Appleton! Harry Houdini (AKA Ehrich Weiss) lived in Appleton for four years as a child, and always considered the city to be his hometown. The History Museum at the Castle will take us on a tour of the Houdini exhibit. This exhibit takes visitors through his childhood, early career, rise to fame, and legacy with photos, video, and artifacts used by the man himself. Kids (and kids at heart) have the chance to learn and perform some of his iconic illusions, such as the Metamorphosis, and even escape from "jail" in this interactive exhibit. We will also have the opportunity to explore the other various exhibits in the museum, such as Appleton's model railroad, stained glass windows, and castle secrets. Due to space constraints, groups will rotate between free-exploration and tours of the Houdini exhibit.

**Check in time (1:00 - 1:15) Please arrive during the check-in window to ensure that you are with our group.
