Touch of Dutch Farm Visit and Volunteer

  • Touch of Dutch Farm 16277 U.S. 14 Richland Center, WI, 53581 United States (map)

Join us on a beautiful fall afternoon in the driftless region of southwest Wisconsin on a quaint family homestead for a guided tour, a stint of volunteer work, a treat from the retail store--courtesy of the RVA!--and learn all about how food is grown and raised. We will have a chance to see how farms naturally grow food, use integrated pest management, what pasture-raised chickens and laying hens means and, BEST OF ALL, roll up our sleeves and help out. Volunteer work will be based on the work happening that day on the farm. It can range from mulching the garlic beds to watching and helping fields be steam-treated and cleaned! These hours can count towards your community service hours for the RVA. Volunteer work is optional. If you are planning to work, please dress appropriately and check the weather expected for that day. Families can choose a pumpkin or dozen eggs or another small treat offered at the retail store.

Touch of Dutch Farm is a family farm and market operated by Kimberly DeVries and her six wonderful children. They started this farm with the hope of bringing something to their community that simply isn't available in the immediate area. They have loved building their homestead and are so excited to bring a bit of that healthy and wholesome way of life to the families in their area.
They grow fresh produce and cut flowers in a natural, pollinator friendly, healthy way. They also have poultry and an apiary on their “little slice of heaven.” They proudly offer produce, cut flowers, flower arrangements, honey, chicken and duck eggs, homemade goods such as jam, jelly, salsa and starting in the 2024 season they will be offering blueberries for sale.
They truly enjoy educating people about where their food comes from and exactly how they produce it. Visitors are always welcome and volunteers are well-loved and much appreciated!
