Northwoods Wildlife Center Virtual Event

  • Zoom Room 624 College Street, Room 104 Medford, WI, 54451 United States (map)

Come join the RVA for a Animal of Spring virtual presentation offered by Northwoods Wildlife Center scheduled for March 28th from 2pm to 3pm.

Despite snow and ice lingering in the north and chilly state-wide temperatures, baby season in Wisconsin is upon our wild neighbors. It can be heart-warming to watch a pair of robins carefully construct a nest or glimpse a doe with her fawns. However, this sense of peace and tranquility can be shattered if a baby bird is discovered outside of its nest or a fawn is spotted all alone. Is this ok? What should you do? Join us for a virtual presentation offered by Bart Kotarba, Wildlife Educator at Northwoods Wildlife Center in Minocqua, WI for the answers to these questions and more. You will learn how some commonly seen wild animals raise a family, a few common baby animal "emergencies", and how to become more involved in helping our wild neighbors in your own communities.

By attending this presentation you can earn 1 hour of community service hours towards your 8 hour RVA yearly school requirement.

For more community service hours, dontate your time to a local wildlife center or contribute to the Northwoods Wildlife Center’s list of growing needs for Spring time animal rescues. Take note of the list share below.
