Growing Connections Community Service High School Event

We are seeking 5-20 high school volunteers to take part in a community service training simulation based on helping our most vulnerable rural students. To learn more watch the short video describing this experience by our presentor, Rebecca Lewis-Pankratz.

You will serve as in this poverty simulation and witness the discussions led by Rebecca Lewis-Pankratz. She has experienced poverty herself and has dedicated her life to improving the messages and supports young people and their families need to help themselves out of the cycle. This Growing Connections poverty simulation is designed for teachers and administrators from RVA's consortium partner districts. Parents of high school students are welcomed and encouraged to particiapte.

There will be a mandatory information meeting held for all who want to be involved on Tuesday January 11th at 11:00AM here: Leigh's Zoom Room

Where: Kalahari Resort, Wisconsin Dells: 1305 Kalahari Dr, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965
When: Friday, February 4th. Arrive at 8:15, begin training for the day. Participants enter at 9:20. Volunteers are done by 10:30.

Community Service hours = 3 hours
