Virtual Field Trip with NASA! During the program we will discuss conditions on the Moon as well as Mars, why Moon exploration is important, and how going back to the Moon is on the way to getting astronauts to Mars. The activity is making a Pocket Solar System, which is a scale distance model. Please have these supplies available at home to make your model: 1 sheet Construction paper or regular paper, 1 pen, pencil or marker, 1 pair scissors, and clear tape. The content of this field trip is geared for students in Grades 3-5, but I think that most elementary and middle school students will enjoy the content and the activity!
