From Emily's website:
Emily Arrow is a children’s producer, author, and award-winning songwriter.
Her mindful approach combines music, movement, and storytelling in a creative joyful atmosphere where students experience the elements of music in an active way.
A proud graduate of Berklee College of Music, Emily began writing for children during her time as a K-6 music educator in Los Angeles. Through her music ed certification in Orff Shulwerk, she developed a child-centered approach to teaching that combines stories, movement, and song in a creative joyful atmosphere where students experience the elements of music in an active way.
Many of her songs are inspired by picture books and are created with permission from the authors with hopes of spreading the word about her favorite stories!
Join us for a 20-30 minute session featuring three of her songs: Be A Friend, I Wish You More, and Explorers of the Wild! These songs were inspired by the following picture books (check them out from your local library if you want to preview them ahead of time).
Be a Friend by Salina Yoon
I Wish You More by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld
Explorers of the Wild by Cale Atkinson
This event is intended for elementary students but anyone is welcome to attend!
