Do you want to have conversations about race and racism in your home, but don't know where to begin? Join three RVA teachers in a conversation about how to facilitate conversations about race and racism in your home. They will be providing a brief overview of some key terms and facts pertaining to race to set the stage and then will be breaking down how you can talk with your child about race at each age level - elementary, middle school, and high school age students. They want you to come away with ideas and conversation starters for you to use in your home and also provide you with resources as adults to learn more about race and racism. These discussions are far from easy, but they are necessary. They want to empower you and your child to make our world a better place!
