Getting Enrolled

The Rural Virtual Academy is a public school open to all school-aged children in the State of Wisconsin between grades PreK - 11. However, depending upon where the child lives makes a difference in how they enroll to the school.

The Rural Virtual Academy is available for students in Abbotsford, Algoma, Antigo, Auburndale, Colby, Gilman, Medford, Mosinee, Pittsville, Prentice, Rib Lake, Spencer, Stratford, Tomah, and White Lake. These students can apply with the form found on this page.

For students who reside in a different district and desire to attend the RVA, they must file for open enrollment.

Families who wish to attend the RVA through open enrollment have to do so in two different ways, depending upon the time of the year. During February 1st and the end of April, families can file online for the following school year. This 3 month period of time is called the "traditional open enrollment" window.

Apply on-line for open enrollment during this time by going here, or by first giving us a call to help you proceed.

Between July and January, families can apply to attend during the current year. This period is called the "alternate open enrollment" window. You can apply online during this period of time: here, by completing the form found on the page.
